diarrhea a sign of labor?

So I'm 38 weeks I've been having diarrhea and I asked my mother today she says thats a sign that I'm going on labor soon. It could be days? I feel like it's so weird I never heard of such thing? But you know old people have there sayings.... have  anyone else heard about it? Or experience anything like it?

It is a sign of Labour.  It's your body cleaning it's self out before Labour.  But it can also mean other things like food not agreeing with you. Or having the flu, stuff like that.  But it can be a sign of Labour too.
Right now I'm experiencing the same issue. Hopefully I'm not getting ready for Labour,  I'm only 26 wks. But I'm pretty sure it's something I ate.
But you are very close, so i hope your body is getting ready.
Good luck and wish you the best.

I've had it off and one for the past week. I asked my OB nurse about itband she said it wasn't a sign of labor and that it's probably a bug, but women swear it's a sign and many of the websites also say it is... So I don't know. I'm hoping it is a sign my body is preparing despite what the OB says. I'm 39 weeks 2 days.
