Baby is facing forward

At my first ultrasound my baby was facing forward instead of off to one side. I was told this is rare but safe. I am now 16 weeks. How safe is this? Will the baby turn later into pregnancy? When it comes time to give birth will this then become a problem?

The baby will probably move and you have plenty of time left. I wouldn't worry about it now.

Even if the baby wasn't in an optimal position, he or she can be flipped and you can use certain positions to encourage the baby to rotate.

Your baby at the first appointment doesn't have an umbilical cord yet. After the umbilical cord forms, the baby can move into any position so I doubt it will have an effect on the baby when d day comes.
