I always focused on big stuff first. Like crib, crib set, travel system, swing, bouncer, tub. There is also clothes, sleepers, bibs, mittens, socks, shoes, bottles, nail clippers and all. The baby wash and lotion. Blankets towels and washcloth diapers and wipes. I always save toys and just get them by time baby is 3 months. If you plan on having a baby shower than you might want to hold off on little stuff until you see what you get. Not sure how most women do it I've never had a baby shower.
