Back/butt pain

ladies I'm about 8 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby. I recently experienced like a sharp pain in my lower back but it goes down to my butt and leg. I feel it when I'm walking. Don't recall ever feeling this type of pain but it kind feels like maybe a pinched nerve. Any ideas or advice. If it still bothers me I will mention it at next doctors appt

Wouldn't be a bad idea to use a pillow for posture while sitting. If you cross your legs at the ankle try to work on that. It will cause more pain. Maybe work on some stretches and exercises for the hamstrings and your sides to help ease the nerve too.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. Lol! Is it normal to happen so early in pregnancy? And does it make a difference that my job is sitting in front of a computer all day?

I am 31 weeks and have had sciatica since 12 weeks. My job required me to walk and lift quite regularly. The pain got to sharp and more frequent so I visited my Doctor. They refer you to a physical therapist. Treatment is heat packs and messaging out the nerve and surrounding muscle. Each time I visited my therapist gave me new techniques to strengthen my ability to "un-pinch" the nerve. Best advice: Do not cross your legs...it cause it to flare more. Take a tennis ball or golf ball and sit directly where it hurts for a minute or two (this will help ease the tightening) stretch your hamstrings as often as you can. Find gentle exercises to do for this. It will help you in the long run. I am now in my third trimester and these techniques have been amazing help. Hope it helps you too.

I had the same situation as britany1103. Very uncomfortable, but not horribly uncommon either.
