Baking Soda gender test??!!

Hey ladies so im sure some of you have heard of the old wives tale of the baking soda gender test, if not here is how it suppose to work. So u collect you very first morning urine and in a separate cup u have ur baking soda (no exact measurements). Next u pour the urine into the cup of baking soda and if it does little to nothing its a GIRL and if it fizzies and bubbles its a BOY.  Ok im currently 14 wks and decided to try it this morning and it fizzed like crazzy (BOY result) I was excited i go in 6 wks for my anatomy scan so i'll know for sure boy or girl.  This test is just for fun so ladies give it a try and post results!!! Then when u get confirmation we'll know if it was true should be fun!!

The drano you have to use the crystals for accurate results.

@Sonia1101 i retook it twice and it did fizz, going out today for the drano also im gonna try the red cabbage test.

Well, I just did it again and drano stayed yellow, so GIRL result, baking soda no fizz, nothing, zero so Girl result too, hope I got this right because I'm crazy for a girl.

What were your results?

Hope you can get my message, the baking soda needs to be new and at room temperature, not from the fridge, also first tmorning urine needs to be at room temperature,  drano test, you need to add the same amount  of drano and pee, no mater if it's liquid, gel or cristals, I  have the gel one, so I will try it tomorrow  and post bak here.

BTW I'm only 8 weeks today...

I used my first morning urine i waited a few minutes then did it but im gonna try to save it next time and see what results i get lol......but keep in mind ITS JUST FOR FUN. The only way to know for sure is when we get out anatomy scans!!

Sounds like fun! I love all the little old wives tales... It's interesting to hear how many different ones there are! I'm only 12 think it's too early to try?

I did mine when I was like 12 weeks and results boy and I'm having a boy
I also did the drano, red cabbage and came to boy also the Chinese gender said girl which is def wrong

I did it and it said i was having a girl and I'm having a boy. You have a 50/50 chance of being right. The Chinese calender test also said a girl. It's all just for fun.

I did it but got 2 results.

First I did it with my first morning urine and just after I  pee on the cup, poured into the other cup whit baking soda and fizz a little.
Then the second one y saved my first time urine for later because my sons and husband wanted to see and I got a no fizz so girl result.

My question here will be: Should we do the test with our first morning urine right after we pee or wait until it reaches room temperature?

I didntbdo it because I found out my babies gender at 13 weeks when I went in for the ultrasound to measure the head. A boy, was later confirmed at my 19 week ultra sound
