You can take a bath just watch your water temp. Home water heaters can get the water up to 108-109 or even higher so just be weary as to the temp of the water. You do not want to get your temp over 102 for more than 10 minutes. It has nothing to do with baby getting to hot. The problem is when your temp gets high vasodilation occurs which decrraes the amount of oxygen that gets to the baby. This is also why people get dizzy when they get out of a hot bath or shower.... General rule of thumb is if you have to ease yourself into the water, its too hot.

You can take a bath at anytime. You hear people say you can't because of a misconception about temperature. You don't want your body temp to rise above 100 for more than 10-15 min because your baby can't sweat and therefore will be too hot. But to do this you have to be in a hot tub. A regular bath will maintain a temp off 100 that long, so you're fine. Going into detail because I'm sick of reading people who think they can't take a bath! Lol.

Only sponge bath until umbilical stub falls off. Then full bath after that.
