I'm only 18 weeks Im on complete bed rest no cooking no cleaning due to IC I had a cerclage done I'm also on progesterone. My doctor also wants me to take the Makena shot every week to prevent pertrem labor. Is anyone else having these issues?

I have been on bed rest since I was 22 weeks along with medication every 8 hrs and the makena injections. I am now 32 weeks 2 days and my doctor is going to end the injections at 36 weeks. I have had preterm labor and also had my son at 35 weeks.

They were concerned becauase my cervix shortened from 3.2 to 2.75 in 2 weeks, but my dr told me to take it easy and I did modified bed rest and it went back to 3. Since then my dr has put me on Makena (progesterone) and my cervix has stayed around 3 without any signs of dilation or shortening. Just try to take it easy and follow your dr directions.
