Benadryl

Is it safe to take durning the first trimester? I have read contridicting things on the internet. I am 5wks and my Dr. appt isn't for another month.

I ended up going to rhe hospital for my sinus infection and they told me it was safe I was only bout 5 weeks at the time as well

You can absolutely take benedryl in your first trimester.

Once you hit 20 weeks you can take benadryl

My doctors both say it's fine to take Benadryl. Unfortunately I have to take it a lot because my nose gets so stuffy.

It's on the safe list my doc gave me. I've heard loratadin (sp?) is safe too but I'd talk to your doctor before you take anything just to make sure. Give him/her a call first and they should tell you what is OK to take. You could ask a pharmacist but every time I've done that, they say they're not sure and to ask my doctor.

web md says yes. I was wondering the same thing.  I'm 15 w 1 d and have extremely itchy skin all over my body and the tons of lotion I put on does nothing.
