Csection once again.

Today I went for my apt. My doctor schedule me to get a csection on March 16,2015 my due date was March 21st. I thought I was going to have a vbac but after she told me all the risk I was afraid. I have 2 daughters. One I had her natural and my last one was a csection. Please help pray for me I am super nervous!

The second one is much easier than the first. I'm having my 3rd in January and nervous because I just moved to pa from las Vegas and everything is unfamiliar but honestly even if a vbac was an option I'd still opt for the csection because I know what to expect and I'm not putting myself or my baby at risk. I think you're doing the right thing and you both will be just fine! Good luck and happy delivery

This is my 2nd C-Section and it will be this Friday,  my doctor as well scheduled it ( due date was the 24th having my C-Section on the 27th )
I'll let you know how it went and what they do,  I'm not as much nervous I'm just wondering if they will induce me to make me go into labor or if they will just fill me with saleen give me my epidural or spinal block and send me to the OR ..
my first pregnancy my water broke and they left me for 19 hrs them I got sick and my son got sick and then they rushed me to the OR and what not so it's a different experience this time around.

The risks of major abdominal surgery are higher than the risks of vbac. Did your doctor tell you that? It's actually well documented. Some doctors freak about the risk of rupture - which actually only happens in well under 1% of vbacs. The risks of excessive blood loss, infection, poor wound healing, complications from anesthesia, etc. make a repeat c-section a much riskier choice in most women.
It sounds like it would be worth getting a second opinion, a doctor who is more supportive of choosing vbac. But of course it is your choice to birth the way you choose.

I have had two c-sections this will be my third. Every mom is different I didn't experience the pain that alot of mothers feel after the surgery. Don't be nervous as long as you made the right decision for you and you trust your doctor everything will be fine. How was your first?
