Midwife question...

How long did you wait from finding out your pregnant to getting an appointment with a midwife. Ive been waiting over a month is this normal? x

Mine won't see you until you are at least 10 weeks. And if they know you confirmed your pregnancy maybe they are just waiting another month to see you. My appts are every 4 weeks

I saw mine at ten weeks, but I really had to push to see her. It ended up being good that I inquired again, though, because they lost my intake form! They didn't even know I was waiting.

I met with mine around seven weeks to see if I liked her... my first appointment was about 12 weeks.

Im around 9-10wks seen 2 doctors who did nothing except confirm I was pregnant n ask if I knew when I was due which I dont n said wait for the midwife to arrange an appointment. Does this sound right?

I had my first appointment at 14 weeks, so waited a while

I've never been to a midwife but I know some doctor offices won't see you before 8wks.

Usually its around the 10-12 week mark. Just BC most doctors do an ultrasound then and do blood work. Anything earlier than that, its sometimes hard to find the heartbeat or get accurate measurements.
