Boys & Advice

I am currently pregnant with a baby boy and I was wondering if anyone had any advice or stories about raising a little boy. I also have a stepson, but because he is autistic, a lot of things he does is a reflection of his autism. Any and all advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

My son is my partner in crime. We do everything together, he's so helpful and sweet. Reguardless of that the moment daddy gets home from work the house turns into a wrestling ring (: he's my clean freak, you can tell he hangs out with me all day! I could go on and on about him all day because he is my world but I'll spare you guys, I'm just proud of him. Congrats to you!!

I have a 2 year old boy and he is legit my world! He's works my nerves on a constant bc he repeats himself a lot and doesn't listen to me to save his life. But he's just perfect. He's wild and crazy. He's rowdy and a daredevil for sure which scares the hell out me all day long. He tortures the dogs but then turns around and loves on them. He loves to gives kisses to us, is such a flirt with all the females he encounters, and basically just marches to his own beat.

I really want a boy this time also bc they're just so damn easy.

And I see a few mentions of lots of trucks and sports and etc. Let your kid be himself. My son will literally go from being outside tearing things up in his little truck and getting dirty as hell, to wanting to play with my hair and have me paint his nails. I wouldn't change it for anything bc its like having both worlds but more "boy stuff" than anything, which is what I prefer.

They sure do have different personalities! A lot of people say boys are rowdy and slightly fearless but I can say that about my son. Yes 6 now and he's a very cautious kid. Very kind and gentle, also afraid of worms, snakes spiders ect

My family is male dominated. I know boys very well at every age. My son is now 21 months old.  The biggest thing that I have learned so far is that they don't really ever change.  Lol! Last night during my son's bath, he surprised the crap out of me. He stood up, stuck his butt out, farted, and then laughed. I'm not joking! Now that I'm pregnant with a little girl, I just don't know what to do with myself.  Lol!

Boys are fantastic, funny and they love their mom's. They also take a bit more patients as they seem to get frustrated more easily than girls do. So worth it though.

I have a 3 year old boy and though he keeps us busy, he's so much fun. Lots of cars, super heroes, sports and loudness but worth every minute. And there is something special about moms and their sons. Enjoy!

I just have the diaper advice- don't take the old one off until you are ready to put the new one on cause they can spray at anytime. Then first time home with my oldest I had him on the changing pad with no diaper, reached for the new one and he wet my shirt and he smiled like he was relieved.
My oldest has a stronger bond with his dad, but if he is sad or just needs to be cuddled he will come and snuggle with me and that is one of the best feelings in the world.

I have two boys and they are polar opposites. One is very athletic the other is book smart. Just let them be their selves and you just go with the flow. Lots of cars though and changes of clothes

There is no specific advice. I loved and took care of my baby boy as I did with my baby girl (just had to get used to cleaning different privates lol). One thing I could say from my experience are baby boys are very attached to their mothers. Every child is different, but my baby boy whom I didn't think I would get as close to is the one I'm closest with.
