Braxton Hicks Not Painful

Is it normal for these not to hurt at all?

I wanted to hear other moms experiences because I have heard so many mixed things. I just had my NST (non stress test) and the nurse came in and said, oh boy you had a few contractions and didn't say anything, they hurt most of our patients.... It made me wonder if I'm just one of the women who doesn't feel the pain or if somethings wrong with me and she didn't really give me an answer.

Im glad your pains only lasted those two weeks OctoberMommy! I understand that, I wouldn't want people to assume something was wrong with them either but I thought something was wrong with me since they've never hurt so I definitely wanted opinions.

Heavenlyhash, im sorry yours hurt, I couldn't imagine but figure you'll be better prepared for labor than I am! Im nervous for the real pain.

Elle30, thats how I feel! Its been a great and easy pregnancy and I loved that drink for the test. I told the nurse I would drink that with my breakfast every morning if I could. We should stop listening to the horror stories.

Justmel, thats how I feel too, just a tightening and my stomach gets rock hard. Im 32 weeks now and they happen more often but they definitely don't cause any pain.

I had 2 braxton hicks contractions this morning and they felt weird, no pains just my muscles tightening in my stomach.

I totally agree. I've heard so many horror stories about all kinds of things in pregnancies from people and so far it's not been bad at all. And i agree on the drink. I actually kinda liked it until the last sip since i had to drink it so fast. My braxton hicks don't ever hurt. My tummy just gets rock hard.  Occasionally i feel like i have to go #2 when i have them, but i've always had a sensitve stomach when it comes to going to the bathroom. They typically aren't supposed to hurt, aside from maybe special cases

the BH I had at 24 & 26 did hurt.. they wrapped around into my back & I did NOT want to move. I of course brought this up to my OB, and he said it was definitely normal. I've had a few since then (I'm 29w4d now) & they've not been painful again, yet, but obviously noticeable.

I think they're just like anything else.. it's different for everybody.. to say they're not painful is an opinion. I'd hate for someone to experience BH & them be painful & them assume something was wrong.. nothing was wrong with me, but they were absolutely painful. some of us are just lucky I guess! (((:

Howcome so many people complain about them then? Mine feel the same way, just my belly getting tight but it doesnt fewl uncomfortable or hurt at all.

I had so many women tell me to prepare myself for them and warned me about all this pain, just like the gestational diabetes drink being horrible and that it'd make me sick and that wasnt the case at all. I guess I need to stop believing what people warn me about!

Braxton hicks don't generally hurt. Just pressure or feeling heavy

Braxton Hicks are generally not painfull. But you can definitely feel them. For me, it just feels like my belly is being pumped with helium until it's rock hard.
