I tryed to bf my daughter she is my 3rd child I bottle fed my other 2 I found it really hard tho! My baby was always crying as the 1st milk u get isnt much so she just wanted feeding allll the time!! & I was told not to pump but I wish I had cuz my baby was latching wrong so I was so sore & got to the point where I dreaded feeding her :-( if I had pumped I cud have given my poor boobs a break lol so if u wanna give a go definitely speak to a lactation to make sure u get that latch right & just remember the 1st couple of weeks r the hard work after that u shud have a gud suply of milk & have ur latch perfected :-) I gave up to soon im gunna try again this time around :-)

I agree with both ladies above me. I will try to exclusively breastfeed or pump but i will not stress if I do give in to formula so do not stress either. My first baby I ended up doing both and only formula after 8mo. I was working 12 hr shifts so it really took a toll on me. This time around I do not work long hours so I should be able to bf and pump with no formula. if you go thru a let down and your baby is hungry and you chose to formula feed inbwtn,  just make sure to pump constantly so your body does keep producing.

If you really want to breastfeed then I wouldn't recommend formula. The best way to increase your supply is by nursing constantly and pumping after. Sometimes when bottle feeding baby will want that more because it takes almost no effort to get the milk out of the bottle. Breastfed babies also tend to gain wait at a "slower" rate than formula fed babies because breastmilk is perfectly suited for a baby's need whereas formula has a lot of excess that baby stores. So they tend to weigh more, although that's not always the case 100% of the time. I'm not saying formula is the devil, but if breastfeeding is important to you, sometimes introducing formula can make things more challenging especially earlier on in the process.

I did both with my first bc I could not produce enough milk with fenugreek with is a natural supplement to enhance supply! But I think it hurt me to do both more than it helped bc the. I got lazy and quit after 3 months
