already mom's I need advice

So my baby is 7 weeks old and he hates bath time! He kicks and screams like there is no tomorrow. So the experience  isn't nice for him or me.
Any suggestions on how to make bath time more relaxing so my baby won't scream his had off ?
(I'm about to give him a bath in a few minutes )

My son loved showering with his dad. I would hand him in after my husband was in and take him in the towel after.

Warm water, keep the water away from the face, like the eyes, and away from the ears. It freaks babies out.... and try to make it a quick bath cause the baby gets cold. Maybe try a warm wet towel on the rest of the baby while you wash the arms...do the same with each body part.

Yes can you take a bath with baby? Having him on your chest while doing it will probably relax him.

I agree showers are great. The temp they tell you to put the bath up to is really low in my opinion. I know they say it's a matter of safety but I wouldn't want to take a bath in lukewarm water. I put the bath at a reasonable temp and then my baby loved them!

Showers are great as long as you have your partner/husband there too to hold the baby before and after as hard to do everything by yourself... also can get slippery, so hold tight :)

Try keeping a warm wash cloth on him. My boys only cried because they were cold. And they hated being cold. You could also try taking a shower with him. My boys loved and still love showers!
