Breastfeeding dilemma

Im the mother of a healthy 3 1/2 year old boy. I had a very bad delivery experience n afterwards ended up not bf. Im now 33 weeks with my second little boy but afraid to breastfeed because I dont know how to explain it to my 3 yr old. Any suggestions???

Agreed my kids are older this time so it has crossed my mind. But ive told them how i did it with them and we have ready many books about how animals like cows and dolphins drink mamas milk. My sister is doing it to so we dont hide it they know no different.

Just say it is baby's milk and that is how babies eat. I breastfeed and have explained it to my older kids that way. It always worked out fine and the girls that are at the age they play with baby dolls started walking around holding their dolls up to their shirt saying they were feeding their baby. It was very cute. Good luck.

yeah I'd just try shrugging it off .. if hes remembers that he wasn't BF stick with "baby's special medicine" (but i doubt he remembers I'd maybe consider your kid a baby genius lol)

Thats true... He's been extra inquisitive lately and I dont want him to worry too much.

I'd just tell your 3 year old its the babies food or medicine.. I don't see kids making it a big deal unless you do..
