Breastfeeding questions...FTM

I'm trying to choose the best breast pump and milk storage system I can find.  I travel extensively for work and I'll even be pumping in the car.  I found the Kiinde system; which looks awesome.  But, I'm not sure what I will be able to express from each breast at each pumping session.  Ideally, I would like to pump directly into the storage bag, freeze it, thaw it, and feed directly from the bag.  That is how the Kiinde system is intended to be used.  But, will I get 4oz of milk from each breast at each pumping session?  If not, then I'll have to consolidate my milk from 2 collection bags to one storage bag; which defeats the purpose of the Kiinde system.  What worked best for you?  I'm not worried about cost, convenience is most important to me.

I had no problem pumping... At times I have a over abundance And other time I need to get my milk up because my Lil one was a hunger beast...lol to get your milk up your support to pump every hour at least so I disagree... I pimped for a full 12 months no breast time.... So every mommy is different

I agree, medella is the way to go. The hospitals use it, WIC uses it, i used it as well with my first and it worked amazingly. Plan to use it again with this baby, 11 yrs later. I have looked at others but always come back to Medella. Good luck and congrats!

I have thw medulla back pack version as well.  I had to pump little more than half the time with my first baby. It was also convenient for pumping in the car with the battery pack.  It kept up my milk production pretty well. My favorite storage bag was the lansinoh bags.

I did the medela pump in style advanced you can use a battery operated hook up... A car hook up and a wall plug hook up...very amazing pump has a lot of options... Great for any kind of milk production...there are small 4 oz bottles that you can freeze perfect for side saving lol.... I just put  dates on those little jars... Hope this helps...congrats by the way

Medulla is a tried and true breast pump system through the eras. My mom had one when I was younger, I bought my own with my first, and it's also what hospitals recommend and use in their own facilities. They have a wide range of pumps that are portable and such. I got the portable backpack version where it's built in and never had problems. They also have adapters for pumping into bags sold separately that work great. Milk production is something that varies between women. Some can produce a lot while others have a harder time. Something to keep in mind though is that your milk production does die off faster when you pump more. So it's best to feed baby directly as much as possible.
