C-section question

Ladies after your c-section and you were in the hospital, did they give pain meds through the IV or pill form? If so what kind of pills? After you were discharged from the hospital what pain meds are prescribed for you? Reason im asking is because im horrible at taking pills,i have a phobia of choking when i swallow. My prenatal pills are chewable. Im just curious because im scared. Thank you.

They gave it to me in pill form at the hospital after surgery and then sent me home with a few prescriptions.  I went home with an antibiotic to try to keep from getting an infection, lortab, and percocet for pain management, as well as strong ibuprofen.

For me, i was on iv medication for the procedure, and a few hours after. Then they switched to pills as needed.
