You don't have to have a history of diabetes to get gestational diabetes. It is safer for you and the baby to know whether you have it or not so that you can take action to treat it if need be.

If my doctor thinks I should do the test, i will. I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes this time unfortunately. I didn't have it with my first one. Now I am mobitoring my sugar level four times a day. Better to be safe than sorry. Good luck.

I had mine at 20 weeks and they don't make you repeat if you pass so I would talk to your Dr and see if it's really necessary. If they say it is maybe it's better to be safe.
