Can't get rid of uti

I am soooo upset. I been drinking water as much as I can stomach and I pee as soon as I feel it but my midwife keep diagnosing me with a uti!!! I'm 15 weeks and just now getting half way over the morning sickness stage and taking the meds get me right back sick. I feel fine my urine is clear. Can I just wait it out? Is it safe to have uti during pregnancy?

Yes, my urine is cultured. Its' tested at every prenatal appointment.I was prescribed amoxicillin 2 dose 5 days. Took every single dose now its been a month and she prescribe ampicillicin this time. I just hope and pray all this medicine is not causing harm to my baby.

Ugh auto correct. *wouldn't try not workshop. Your partner doesn't need to be treated for a urinary tract infection as it's not contagious. That's unnecessary use of antibiotics and is one of the reasons there are super bugs like MRSA out there. While on the antibiotics make sure to eat daily yogurt as antibiotics can cause a yeast infection- the yogurt helps balance the bacteria.

How long have you been on the antibiotics?  I definitely workshops try to wait it out, utis don't clear on their own. Find out if they cultured your urine. That will tell them what kind of bacteria is causing your uti and what kind of antibiotics will clear it. If they are treating with the wrong antibiotic it won't help.

I delt with this my 1st pregnancy. Had a constant uti n on antibiotics even tho I felt fine.  Finally  I was told , drink cranberry juice,(no apple/ orange/ soda/ avoid all acidic drinks n foods) no baths, pools etc. Sleep with no pants/ shorts/ undies on. No sex or any kind of clitoral stimulation. For a month and my partner needed to be treated (he had no symptoms either but compiled) doing all that finally worked for me.. Good luck

Be careful with the cranberry juice. If you drink too much it will make your belly upset. There are cranberry pulls as well, not sure if they are safe during pregnancy though. Be sure to ask.
Also, if you are constipated that can cause utility as well

I pee on demand, drink water and I haven't been sexually active since early October...What could cause it?

It's never good to have any sort of infection in your body, especially when your pregnant.  If I were you I would get the medicine.  It may make you feel sick at first but it'll be the best choice for you and baby.
