Chicken pox

Could someone please help me!!!!

I am currently 33+3 and my cousin has just found out her little girl has chicken pox. I am in contact with this little girl everyday and I am not sure if me or my baby r in danger. Could anyone help, I am not sure if I have ever had chickenpox because I had something when I was a child but because of scratching them the doctor could not be sure if it was chickenpox.

Please help!!!!!

I would call your Dr.  and ask them. But I agree it would be best to stay away from her till she is over it. Hope it all works out

Your doctor should have done blood tests at the beginning of your pregnancy to check and make sure you have antibodies to that and some other illnesses. If you didn't I'm sure they would have mentioned it but i dont know where you're from so i would call and make sure you had those blood tests done. You dont know if you've ever been vaccinated?

Talk to your doctor. You can get a titer drawn through your doctor to see if you have the antibodies.

Just keep a close eye on yourself and if you see any bumps pop up or rashes call your doc immediately.  Chicken pox are dangerous to pregnant women. My daughter had a mild case when I was pregnant with my son and I didn't get them. I'd stay away from the little girl until she is over them to be on the safe side.
