Contractions?

Since I have been up this morning (a little after 6) I am pretty sure I have been having contractions about every 20 minutes... They are a little bit of cramping and then tightening of my whole stomach. With my first daughter, I never went into labor. My question is  Do contractions come at exactly the same amount of minutes apart? They're all just about, so I'm wondering if it is because they are still farther apart or if it is because they are not "true" labor contractions... I guess I'm just really confused.

Down to 15 min apart and my back is killing me... Looks like it might be tonight or tomorrow!

They don't have to be the exact same timing but roughly together,, not saying 20mins apart and 40mins apart that's a big difference,, but a few mins off is normal,, you will know when you have labor contractions,, ! Its no denying!

You dont have to lose your mucus plug or waters break for contractions to start..just time them and see how it goes..hopefully its the start of it for you..best of luck

I'm 39 weeks 5 days. I had a csection with my first at 39 +4 last time and never once felt a contraction or loss of plug (or BH.) I definitely don't plan on going to to the hospital until I know I'm having contractions much closer together or my water breaks. I just wasn't sure if each contraction is normally exactly the same amount of minutes apart or if that is just how they get once they are very close together.

How far along are you?
Could be braxton hicks
Real contractions will get closer together and at 20 mins apart i can tell you hospital wont do much for you right now..if i was you id just keep timing them for now,if they get closer together then its likely its the start of labor but if they dont or are irregular then its most likely braxton hicks
