Are you loving having your baby in your arms? I can imagine that you feel empty because you literally have a huge part of you not inside of you anymore. It sounds normal, but if you're concerned at all, please contact your doctor. Postpartum depression isn't something to play around with.
I usually get what I call empty belly syndrome lol it will get better momma: -)
I went through the same thing and thought I had PPD. What I was really experiencing was the baby blues. I wanted to be pregnant again but minus the delivery, lol. I cried for a week. I was happy to have my son and yet, overwhelmed with new responsibilities. It'll get better in time but let your Dr know how you feel.
If it doesn't go away in a week or 2 then you should contact your doctor, remember your body is still hormonal. Is normal to feel that way, you can cry over your belly. I missed mine during a whole week i even had anxiety during those days. But it gets better!!! Probably you will be crying when alone or suddenly feeling overwhelm, are you breastfeeding??? Breastfeeding lets oxitocin out (the hormone of love :-D) it helps fight depression!!! I hope you do feel better remember 40 weeks your body changed, you grew a baby inside of you and now is out, is normal to feel empty and is normal to cry too. Good luck with your baby and congratulations.
Thanks for the comment I feel better about how I'm feeling inside...and no I'm not breastfeeding...yes I love holding my baby...I guess I will just be a cry baby for a couple weeks lil...
