I was in this situation and I started bleeding so I went to the doctors who booked me in for a scan because I had pain also. I had the scan at 8 weeks, by this time I had lost the baby and they picked up that I had s cyst on my ovary causing the pain. A few months later I was pregnant again and now I'm 21 weeks and going strong. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in early miscarriage and we would never notice them if it wasn't for the early response tests. I'm not saying you have miscarried but hormone levels are not a great indicator as even after my scan at 8 weeks I was still showing pregnant on the tests. The hormones stay in your body for a long time. I would advise waiting it out and if you have any other symptoms like bleeding or pain go see a doctor (they are the only ones who can authorise an early scan)

At 6 wks they can normally just see the sac, no baby yet, and usually no heartbeat yet.
