Delivered 35 weeks an 3 days. Started bleeding very scared !!

So on fri dec 5th went to bed within 5 mins of lying down felt this gush thought I peed myself so went to restroom tried to pee an felt these big clumps fall out when I wiped an looked in toilet there was blood everywhere. cleaned up called my dr an headed to hospital in mean time blood just kept coming an contractions started I was so scared. Got to hospital hooked me up baby was ok an contractions were consistent dr said to wait an see they weren't going to stop them( were already stopped at 32 weeks an was givin steroids for babies lungs) when I got there was 2 cn an 70% witch I had been for 4 weeks. Already new was suppose to have c section was scheduled for New Year's Eve 2014..so 3 hrs later got checked again an I was 5 cen an 80% so obviously was I labor at this point it was 3 am dr wanted me to wait longer thought I was gonna die cause the contractions were getting way strong an because of c section couldn't take anything. So needless to say I went through 7 an a half hours of labor an finally had my baby girl c section at 6:38 am dec 6th she was 6lbs 5ounces 18inches long an perfect !! Only thing through whole thing was all the bleeding I had an still no answer nurses an dr both said were signs of labor I never in my life heard that. Yes I know about bloody show an dr said it wasn't that I really thought something was seriously wrong has anyone else have alot of blood at the start an through out labor I mean at almost every contraction more blood would come out it was really scared only thing that kept sane was that I could watch an hear her heart beat.

Thanks ladies! No I knew she was ok but drs always repeat over an over how bad red blood is bad an I just felt that she was safer out. I did have contractions on an off all week plus lost my mucus plug the sun befor. Day of had diareah an no contractions that whole day until after the blood an had them on an off for 6 days the nurse thought maybe gush was my water but they couldn't test because of all the blood

Wow we are due on the same day. I'm glad everything turned out ok, but I certainly would have an anxiety attack had I saw blood like that. Obviously it wasn't anything detrimental or out of the ordinary though. Thank gosh! Did you have any signs of pre-labor beforehand? Hours or days before?

I agree- sounds like your placenta had started to detach. And like mentioned above, since you were on the monitor they were not concerned because they could see that everything was okay. Glad that you and baby are doing well. Congrats:)

Sounds like a partial abruption of your placenta. As long as you and baby were both fine on the monitor, it's not necessarily a dire emergency. You just have to be closely monitored. Glad you and baby girl are both doing well!
