Dehydration?

Throughout my entire pregnancy, I have been told I'm anemic, and I'm very dehydrated. But I drink all the time.. I always carry a water bottle, when I'm at work I probably don't drink as much, because I work as a retail floor representative so I'm constantly busy with people. Anyways, can dehydration play any roles in labor? Like premature or complications? A bit worried. FTM 30 weeks BTW.

I'm anemic so make sure your taking iron. My doctor told me I can take over the counter supplements. Also even though you work as a retail floor representative your health is more important and you should make sure you drinking more water at work also.

Your doctor can prescribe you a prenatal vitamin that has iron or you can purchase any type of vitamin from the store that is an iron supplement. Try eating almonds and drink plenty of water.  There are foods that are good for iron as well google some and hopefully this well help get your iron levels up. Wish you the best:)

I get told at every OB appointment that I'm a little dehydrated. I drink probably 3 or 4 cans of soda in a regular day (between naps, so basically just using the caffeine to not be in bed constantly). I'm 39+2.
I've never been much of a plain water drinker, so I've been going for things like hot chocolate, Gatorade, hot tea, etc.
A word of warning: if you drink Gatorade too much, you will unbalance your electrolytes and give the doctors a heart attack lol

If they keep telling you that you are anemic why aren't they prescribing you an iron suppliment? You can also get one over the counter but make sure your doctor tells you what dosage to get. Iron is extremely cheap even if you don't have insurance. I forgot my insurance card and my prescription only cost $3. Like the other poster said low iron is dangerous. It makes your blood thinner and can cause clotting problems which will lead to excessive blood loss during birth.

Being anemic is very dangerous too, I just went to the er for this 3 days ago and they said if I'm still anemic during birth I could bleed to death and baby could have problems.

Yes, dehydration can cause early labor. But I wouldn't stress, just drink. :)
