Can't Breathe!

Does anyone have any tricks to help you breathe when baby gets so high in your ribs you can't breathe!  It doesn't help that I'm having twins, but my ultrasound tech was even surprised at how high up she was at 21+5 and I don't think it's going to get any better.  When she moves up there, I instantly can't breathe and haven't found a way to get past it.  I've tried laying in a recliner with arms above my head, laying on an incline with my feet elevated on a chair and my arms above my head, laying down flat (which doesn't help at all...)
I'm pretty sure that I would pass out if I were to stay standing.  It happened last week when I was at a rehearsal for a play I'm in next week and I tried to walk about 15 feet to get some ice and water and my legs didn't want to hold my weight and my vision started blacking out until I laid down again.
I'm really worried that I will eventually pass out.  I have this play for the next couple of weeks and right after it's over I'm back to teaching.  I really don't want to pass out in class!  Please someone tell me that they have some trick I haven't heard of that works?

The best position to lay in is right side recumbent.  This means lay on your right side almost fetal and if possible get a full body pillow to rest your belly on to help with the pull from your belly.  With twins it happens earlier but as pregnant women get larger their organs start to squish and move, just so happens the left side of our trunk is a little worse off then our right because our heart is also on that side making our left lung slightly smaller.  Laying on your back whether reclined or flat adds to the pressure making it harder to breath.  Also its inportant to make every effort to take in full deep breaths even if its hard or uncomfortable.  By not doing this you arent fully saturating the alveoli located in your lungs with much needed oxygen.  Its a good excercise for your lungs to focus on your breathing at least 1x a day and will help during labor as well.

I'm 29 weeks now with one child inside me .. I also have had this trouble of feeling like I cannot breath ... I've found that when this happens I also feel like I cannot eat :( which is bad for my daughter because I feel truly suffocated . What I've don't to help me is I take a cold shower with Vicks on my chest and nose and eat cold fruit drink lots of cold water brush your teeth ( the minty feeling helps ) and lay or sit with a fan on you ... This sounds like a lot but when it comes to not being able to breathe this is what really really helped me ... and praying to god also helped me also talk to your babies ask them to move position so momma can breath :) I hope this stuff helps you ladies in also vies one for or another . I pray you will have better breathing days because I know this is a scary thing ... I found I get super emotional when I feel like I can't breathe:( it's no fun
