Sorry replying little late. Dry fruits like cashews, pistachio and almond in the first trimester are dangerous if eaten more than a handful every day. Almond u can eat after soaking overnight.

I hadnt heard of the pineapple...why cant we eat because ive never read that or been told that by anyone and i love pineapple.

I heard about pineapple,papaya, but can't we eat dry fruits??? Is there any specific dry fruit or all. I m worried coz I just ate few :-/ .hope to get ur reply soon.
Pineapple, papaya, dry fruits, alcohal and nicotine should also be avoided.
Congratulations! Another thing my doctor advised me against eating are hot dogs and herbal teas. Regular lipton tea is fine or decaffeinated tea but some herbal teas are not good they didn't give me a list just told me to avoid them as some can cause a miscarriage.
The "rules" on what to eat and what not to eat are the same throughout pregnancy. In the first trimester, you really don't need to eat more than you normally would (that's if you're able to eat at all! Lol). It's the second and third trimesters where you need to be eating about 300 more calories than usual - not much really.
Anyway, to add to the list: A lot of doctors advise against eating deli or lunch meats, unless they are heated up until steaming hot before eating. (Although, you'll find some women still eat it). It's because you have a chance of getting listeria from it, which is extremely bad for baby. Keep in mind you can also get listeria from fruits and veggies, so thoroughly wash those before eating. Hi and welcome. First of all congratulations! Ok so there's quite a few things all pregnant women should avoid and no doubt I will forget some but here goes:
soft cheese (unless made with pasteurised milk eg philadelphia)
Raw and undercooked eggs (good bye runny yolks)
Unpasteurised milk, pate, undercooked meats (bye bye medium -rare steak :( lol), liver, raw shellfish, and limit oily fish. They're the main ones that I was advised by my midwife. Best wishes :)
