Does it ever get better?

So I read posts and articles and baby center info about how during the 2nd trimester energy gets better blah blah...

Is it actually true? I'm 22 weeks and I feel like poop. I'm still always tired. My energy is very low.

Just wondering if something might be wrong or if I'm not alone here.

My heartburn is ridiculous.  I promise you I go through tums something fierce. I never had morning sickness. Just extreme nausea. And now the heartburn. Lol

I hate not having energy. It ducks wanting to sleep the days away

I agree that u should get iron level checked. But to answer ur question..every pregnancy n woman is different. your not alone.  My entire pg -especially 1st trimester- has been really tough. But I have friends who breeze thru whole 9 months.  The only thing getting me thru right now us that I only have 2 months left.

The good part is the nausea disappeared for me by the second trimester but soon after heartburn took over...

I haven't had any energy my whole pregnancy. I guess I had a little more during the second trimester but it sure didn't last long. The third trimester has definitely drained me. I wouldn't say its gonna get better but for some people it does

My diet is awesome. Minus on a erase about 2 or 3 cravings a week. I work 10hr days 4 days a week but I have a cush job. I have been sleeping in mass qty of hours. Like today. 3 naps... and feel like I have no desire or energy to do anything. And  I do walk, nightly with the dog.  I might ask my doc.  I have an appt. This Thursday

Its different for everyone. I was exhausted through my entire first trimester, and felt great for most of my second. I hit about 28 weeks and the exhaustion monster hit again-but my sister is in her 1st trimester now & has tons of energy, but my friend who had her baby in May was exhausted all the way through. I think it partly depends on activity level, diet & personal hormone levels. I'll keep my fingers crossed that maybe your second wind is coming!

I think everyone's different , hopefully you get better as you go. I know as for me 1st and 3rd trimester are the same as bad except that in my third I now have contractions and a few other new things. As for my second I experienced a whole new set of things but wasn't as bad I think. Good luck

It might be worth asking your Dr for a blood test to make sure that you aren't anemic. That could be the cause of your lack of energy.
Personally I found the second trimester to be the best. I was over my morning sickness, my back pain wasn't too bad, I had tonnes of energy, I wasn't too big so it wasn't hard work doing anything
