I had a girl first time around. Mother of Odin. I didn't know her tummy couldn't handle regular formula so she was always puking all over. I was her only parent.
She would stay up EVERY NIGHT for the first month until 7 30 screaming and crying for no reason. I'd change her, hold her, try to feed her, give her more blanket, less blanket... I just wanted to smack the s*** out of somebody.
After the first month, she settled down some and she was just a snuggle bug after that. She got progressively better and started going to sleep on my chest then in her crib.
As long as bedtime wasn't involved, she was great. She would only cry if she needed something or didn't see me for a little while ie I went to take a shower and put her in her crib or playpen. She screamed bloody murder after about 15 minutes though and wouldn't stop until I picked her up and cuddled with her.
