Did it!

I posted very early/late last night trying to decide if I needed to go into l&d. Im glad I went! Lol I arrived at 330am, was checked at 3cm dilated and 100% effaced. Just Monday I was not dilated nor effaced at all! My God the pains just got worse and worse. It was horrible! Kudos to you moms that go 100% natural because I was practically screaming for my epidural by time I was 4cm. Took a bit for my Dr to arrive, I mean it was 430 in the morning.  Lol Finally got here and we got the epidural done. Instant relief I tell you! From there it was pretty steady and smooth just letting me continue to dilate. Finally reached 10cm at 1:50p.m and my son was born at exactlt 2:00p.m. I was really amazed I managed to push him out so quickly amd without tearing or needing to get cut. He did manage to get stuck briefly, he has big shoulders. But my Dr was awesome and managed to help me get him passed. He was a little stunned from being stuck and pushed out so quickly, he didnt start to cry immediately nor take his first breath. Really scared me but he came around in no time and has no issues at all.

So my baby RJ arrived 9/18/14 at 2p.m weighing 9lbs 5oz and 20.5". I was 38+5, successful vbac! I was so paranoid and worried that I was not progressing prior and would have to be forced into another c section.

Have faith ladies! If you are doing a vbac you can do it!!

My Dr broke my water for me at 5cm to try and get things moving a little faster. I dont think it really did speed it up, I still was dilating at a slow but steady pace.

Thanks for all the support yall!

Vaginal birth is sooo much better than having a c section. I feel friggin awesome! Lol Especially happy that I didnt tear or need cutting down there. I was really afraid of that. I feel kinda weird not carrying my baby around in my stomach anymore. Lol so deflated!

Dont be afraid of the epidural, it doesn't hurt to get it done. I was nervous about that part but the pain from my contractions was way worse than anything I felt from the epidural.
