EVENING PRIMROSE OIL?!?!

Has anyone asked their dr about taking this?? What was their response? And what were your experiances if you took it? (Orally)

I took Evening Primrose Oil Capsules 3 a day starting at 37 weeks,  along with Red Raspberry Leaf tea. I didn't experience any contractions, my Doctor sent me to Labor and delivery because I was at 5 cm. EPO definitely works to soften your cervix without having to fully experience Contractions in the beginning.

Aww! Yay! Fingers crossed!! Slow dilation runs in my family so I figured this MIGHT help.. :/ lol as long as it cant HURT im down! Lol thanks ladies, I was a little nervous to take it but seeing as its natural I didny think it could hurt.. thank ladies, good luck with your little ones!! :)

Yes-midwife suggested I begin them to help soften the cervix and she also did minor membrane stripping to aid in the process. Mucus plug starting to come as of last night so fingers crossed baby girl is here soon!!!

Ask your drs to stretch your cervix... I did tht with my daughter and I went into labor 2 days later.... It's really uncomfortable and hurts when they are stretching it but yea

I just started taking the pills orally on Monday, 1000mg 3x a day. The first day was a little rough - headache and nausea, but didn't last. I'm 39w5d currently and have had an increase in contraction strength and well as frequency. I have been 1cm dilated for 3 weeks now so hoping the pills encourage some more as I am not looking forward to being pregnant another week! Ready for my baby girl to be here!
