Anyone else had herpes for ten years or more and had a natural delivery with a healthy baby????
As long as you dont have an outbreak during labor they will give you medication throughout to keep the baby from getting it. If you have lesions during labor they will do a c section bc if you do a natural birth it can cause defects (mostly in the eyes) or the baby can wind up with herpes as well. My doc gave me a book on testing and the different diseases and situations concerning labor. just read that section a second ago.
I haven't but I know if you have herpes down there or get it they put you on some medication as you get closer to try stop an outbreak occurring during delivery
