Early Pregnancy, lite bleeding, no sac?

Hi all. I just turned 40 and my husband and I are still TTC. I had a miscarriage in Nov, heart broken, and now I am pregnant again. I am really scared since Saturday I passed what appeared to be a blood clot, then lite bleeding back to brown. Monday I went to my OB and she completed a transvaginal US and did not see a sac. I should have been exactly 5 weeks. I was told that my lining was thick and it could just be early. I am really worried about having another MC. I have had off an on lite bleeding, nothing but spots on the pad and very lit to moderate cramps, sore feeling in my stomach. My OB did the HCG/Progesterone labs on Monday and I go back tomorrow for more labs so they can compare the results. Does anyone have any advise. I am really trying not to worry or stress out but it is kinda hard. Thanks

Could very well be a implantation bleed. They are rather common. They were finally able to see baby and heart beat on me at 6 weeks and 1 day.

They will probably check again to make sure the sac is in the uterus and to rule out ectopic pregnancy.

I had a similar situation. I am just about 5 weeks and the doctor could not see the sac. My HCG and Progesterone are great and within normal range, as long as they continue going up. I am going in for another blood test tomorrow, I'll have the results Friday. The doctor most likely won't see anything this early and that is why it's recommended between 7-8 weeks for an intravaginal ultrasound. I am worried of a potential miscarriage as I had major colon surgery back in September. If you feel very sharp pains in your stomach or back with bleeding, your doctor should be notified right away. Uunfortunately, the first trimester is nerve racking until you reach the second. Hang in there! I am trying myself!

I bled and cramped for two days with my son and it was fine. I think 5 weeks is very early so I'm not surprised if they didn't see anything. I've also had 3 miscarriages and unless the bleeding gets heavy and bright red your still OK.
