Early dilation at 21 weeks?

I am pregnant with my 2nd baby and am 21.4 weeks. I tend to get a lot of discharge do my midwife told me to do a swoop clean around my cervix with my finger to clear out the discharge. I did that last night and my cervix felt soft and slightly dilated, but I'm not 100% since I don't really know if that's normal or not. I don't want to alarm my midwife if I'm not. Has anyone gone through this? How do u know if u are actually dilated?

You should call your midwife, OR go get check at a hospital. Early dilation can lead to early labor.
With my first I dilated to a 1 at 30 weeks and had to get weekly cervix checks until I hit 37 weeks to make sure the dilation didn't continue.

You need to not worry about whether you alarm your midwife or not. If you're dilated early you need to be put on bed rest and you need to be measured weekly or u/s to keep an eye on it
