Eating ony carbs :(

I'm 7w 3d and I have constant nausea and indigestion. The only thing I can think about eating without feeling sick are carbs. So I've been eating eggo waffles, nutrigrain bars, bread, cereal, and ginger cookies. Normally before pregnancy I rarely ate refined carbs like that because I am gluten sensitive and it made me gain weight. So now I am worried I am going to gain too much weight and also that being that those things don't have alot of nutrients the baby isn't going to get enough nutrition in this crucial first trimester. I know everyone says the prenatal is enough but some days I can't take one cuz it makes me feel sicker even when I eat with it. Is there anything anyone else found they could get down while having morning sickness?

Thank you! I think I might try the protein shake. And maybe buy some bran muffins. The other downfall of eating carbs is that they digest so fast that two hours later I'm nauseous again because my stomach is empty lol but bran and pumpkin have alot of fiber so maybe that will help!

I'm the same. I'm craving carbs and sugar...so unhealthy, yet can't stomach anything else. I made a batch of wholemeal pumpkin scones the other day. Pumpkin is naturally sweet and full of vitamins. There are a range of vegetable muffins and the like you might be able to try :)

As long as you're taking your prenatal vitamins your baby will get everything it needs. :-)

Maybe you could try a smoothie with some protien powder? It might be something you can stomach that would help get some protien in there. I definitely feel your pain though. I ate mostly crackers abs cream cheese for a while at the beginning.

Oh gosh I was exactly the same too. I even posted a very similar post on here lol. I was sick 24/7 during my first trimester and could also only eat carbs. I was so worried about gaining weight but I surprisingly didn't gain a pound until well into the 2nd when I was able to eat healthy again. I wouldn't worry about it and my dr told me to eat whatever I could during that time to make sure I was eating. As soon as 12 weeks hit, it was gone completely so hopefully it gets better for you!

I was exactly the same. Don't worry about it,  its better that bub gets some nutrients than none from you throwing up everything! Eventually your stomach will settle and you can pump yourself and bub full of vegies n fruits :)
