I had one. It.was.amazing. My son was not groggy or drugged acting afterwards and it made giving birth so much more enjoyable.
Its great, ive had it 3 times and will most certainly be having it again this time round, never had any problems with it
I had epidural with both of my previous pregnancies. 8yrs ago and 2yrs ago. I was in labor so long and the pain was so intense before had idk how I could've done it natural. Kudos to anyone with natural birth. I'm getting an epidural this time too. Last time I also had IV meds before I could get epidural, they lessened pain a lot but epidural made it all go away. I was able to relax and sleep and let my body take over, I was very tense before and none of the relaxation techniques I learned and practiced worked. Talk with your doc about options if you don't want natural.
I took epidural with my first 3 kids it very helped no pain nothing I didn't even feel my cocontractions and didn't even feel the baby come out...but this time I'm planing to do it natural . good luck.
Epidural procedure has changed within the last five years. The risk has been reduced. Im definitely getting one
# mine was particularly rough don't know how "money" popped up!
I had one before my emergency c section and it was horrible.they took ages to get it in,it hurt like hell and I have suffered with back problems ever since, this was 5 years ago. I know many of my friends have had them without any problems and would recommend them so I think it's down to the invidual experience.
Money was just particularly rough I guess x
I've had an epidural with my three previous pregnancies and plan to do the same with this one. Only bad experience I've had was the very first time the lady went during a contraction instead of between and I could feel a "poping" along my spine.
My babies were all fine and I had no complications. Not everyone gets them, not everyone believes in them, not everyone has a pleasant experience. You know your body, you know your pain tolerance. I suggest talking to your doctor, asking about alternatives for pain medication, and come up with a plan of action for your birthing experience. Personally, I recommend them.
I took the epidural couple days ago when having my daughter and it didn't work on me. Waste of time.
I had one with both of my kids i slept through both labors only pain i felt was pressure here and there and when you are ready to push you definitely get uncomfortable but i recommend it i will have one with this baby as well
I had one with my first. Slept through almost all of my labor. I still felt the urge to push when the time came... 10 minutes later, I had my baby.
Nope...too many risks...and I can't because of my back. Done natural 5 times so far.
I can't have one because I'm allergic to lidocaine!
I didn't get one the first time and won't this time. Too many risks.
I had one and loved it. It allowed me to sleep before it was time to push, and after pushing for 15 min my son was out. I'm planning on getting one this time around also.
I am so going to have one I am 34 weeks and have had off and on contractions last couple days and those darn things hurt and yes I know they will get worse so I think I am def saying yes to that when it comes time.
Yes, it helped. When I started having the contractions, I asked for it right away. The pain was gone
