I went into labor at 35 weeks with my son. I had an ultrasound 3 hours before he was born. They said 5 lb 1 Oz he was born at 4 lb 14 Oz. So they were pretty accurate!!

I measured ahead on my last ultrasound with my son but my doctor didn't even acknowledge it and when he let me go into labor after stopping me twice my son went into distress his heartrate dropped and he had a bowel movement in utero according to my last ultrasound my dd was 7-31 but lmp dd was 8-15 i had my son on 7-29 i would talk to your doctor about what would happen if you did go into labor earlier than what would be allowable with your original dd

Ultrasound measurements are less accurate in later months than earlier on. At 36 weeks i wad told baby is 7,4 lbs but i know that its not exact. I dont mind going to due date to give baby all the growth chance and immunity b4 coming out.

Baby still needs to grow for at least 7 or 8 more weeks at the least. They won't induce you until your past your due date or having problems. And also there only guessing he's 4 1/2 lbs. he could be bigger or smaller.
