I have had 2 c sections so far and I have another scheduled for the 5th of Jan.  My first c section I was up and walking around with in a few hours of the operation ( by my choice I wasn't in any pain) but with my second I chose to have a c section and it took me 2 to 3 months to be walking around with out pain.

Well I go for my appoitment on 7th January to discuss my birth option hopefully I'll be allowed one a c section. As I also see a specialist doctor for endocrinology as I have a putrity glad problem so all being well I can have one. Xx

With a VBAC theres a 1% chance of your scar reopening, and if it does its catastropic for both mom and baby. Also my ob told me that if I had a VBAC I could not have any meds to help progress the labor such as pictosin. If I were you I would research everything about VBACs and make a educated decision. We decided to play it week by week how I am feeling and then will decide, but I have a feeling Ill have a repeat csection so we can schedule flights for grandma to be here to watch our oldest since we are military and have no family near us. Also my csection went great the first time and I was on a plane 3 weeks later.

Depends on your body. I didn't have any trouble with my first I was back in my own clothes in no time and even went down a size. With my second I did have to purchase a band to put everything back in place but, no problems.

I had two vaginal births followed by emergency csection and my recovery from the csection was so much easier. There was no debate for me this time around I wanted to go with a csection over attempting a vbac.

I heard it's harder to lose weight after a c section especially in the belly area. Is this true

I wouldn't want a vaginal birth either. Since you've already had one chances are unless you want to try VBAC that you will have another C-section. Most of the time it is discussed at the first appointment, but probably not with a midwife.
Also, ladies everyone's birthing experience is different, you may have loved your vaginal birth, or hated your c-section experience. But it is just that, your experience. I have had two c-sections and I had no problem with recovery with either.

She probably is eligible to elect another c section cuz she has already had one before.  U know most drs and hospitals these days won't even consider a vbac.  So even though I would never personally elect to have a c section, it may just be the only option for her anyway.

I would rather have a c section tbh because then I can book the date get childcare sorted out for my first child and in Sheffield you only have to stay in 2-3 days and I was ok after my c section with my first no problems at all.

A vaginal birth is much easier to recover from than a c section..i thought c sections were only for in emergency cases

My first baby was born via c/s. I was giving a choice for my 2nd baby if I wanted to try vaginal or c/s again. Talk to your doctor and he should address your concerns.

Why would you prefer a c section over vaginal birth?

My Dr won't voluntarily do a c section unless  it's necessary. Talk to your dr about it.
