FAILED GLUCOSE TEST

I am 29 weeks and just got the call that I failed my glucose test. This is my third pregnancy,  and my first time having to deal with this because I failed the test. I passed with both my boys, so I was confident I would tgis time too  I have also been measuring one to two weeks larger, which now has me curious if the two are connected. I suppose my question is, have you ever failed the second three hour test? (So not looking forward to taking it)
If so, what was next? What did this mean for your pregnancy and or delivery? Thanks in advance

I failed mine and what I do is test my blood sugars 7x a day and just keep a record of levels and if my levels are out I just take a note on what food I've eaten to get those levels I'm currently 38+5 with baby number 1 :)

Also my sister in law just had her baby a week ago she found out pretty early in in her pregnancy that she had gestational diabetes ... She had to chk her bsl 3 times a day and take pills so I'm assuming it w as pretty serious ... This was her 4th pregnancy and the first time with gestational diabetes .. She did what the doctors told her to do and her and baby are healthy ... The baby was 8lbs 8ozs which was the biggest out of all her kids and his sugar was a little low when he was born but nothing serious

I failed the first and passed the second with my last 2 pregnancies ... I was told just to watch that I ate and cut out sugars which for some reason has been hard for me this time ... I'm usually not even a fan of sweets at all but this whole pregnancy I've been craving sweets :/ I had an ultrasounds 3 weeks ago and my babay was measuring 2 weeks ahead so now I'm starting yo worry :( I'm almost 37 weeks so I do t have much longer to go I just hope my baby don't get too much bigger before he's born and hope that he is healthy ... I went to the Dr last Thursday and they drew blood to chk my sugar again I didn't drink any glucose this time just fasted for 12 hrs ... I haven't got a call with the results so I'm hoping no news is good news ... I have an appointment on Thursday so I guess we'll see .. I would suggest if your worried just limit sugars ... Starting acting as tho u have diabetes even if u don't and just hope for the best ... Good luck!

I went straight to the 3hr test. I passed it. The one I had to drink was fruit punch. If you like Hawaiian punch then it will be just fine. Just a little extra sugar. Just make sure you do not eat or drink anything before you go. Nothing after midnight!

The second test is not so bad. Just take a portable dvd player to make the time go by faster or perhaps a book. You drink the same size bottle of sugar junk but it has more mg sonits more sugary. The orange is not bad AT All except the last few sips can be super sweet.  They have changed the range in the numbers you are allowed to have on the one hour and the three hour has a broader range u can be within. Dont worry u will be ok! good luck!

I passed the 2nd test, but had to be wheelchaired to a private room after 1 1/2 hrs. because I almost passed out. I will never take that test again, I don't care what I have to do! All I could think about is what that sugar was doing to my baby if my reaction was that bad.

I did pass the second test. It's not too bad, but bring a book or something to do to pass the time.

I also failed my one hour, and the three hour test was not fun with multiple pokes over three hours. I personally have not dealt with gestational diabetes, but my sister-in-law did. It mainly required her to just watch what she was eating, exercise, and test. She did not need to take any medication/insulin. Did you eat at all before your one hour test??
