FFN positive test for early delivery at 26 weeks

Is the test really accurate about me delivering early? I have a premature baby prior to this pregnancy. Yet I'm still contains sometimes every 2 to 3 minutes nd my cervix hasn't changed yet but inmy previous pregnancy I was dilated at 2 cm in my eighth month after the same kind of contractions I experience now. But my doctor keeps sending me home after I just was admitted for preterm labor contractions because of the result of the fetal continental test ( ffn). So I feel that if the doctors won't give me anything to stop the contractions I'm gonna eventually dilate real early and with that,I don't think I'll make it to march and my due date is march 19, 2013. Why do these doctors keep sending me home without medication to stop the contractions if they know I'm positive for delivering early when they could at least admit me and make sure they keep close eye on the baby just in case. It doesn't make sense to me.....it just feels like they're setting me up for early labor.

What tests/bloodwork do they run for this test?

I am in the same situation as you are. I am due march 11 2013 and the ffn also came out positive. Although i am only having preterm contractions. My doctor did prescribe Me a medicine called nifedipine. Its usually used for high blood pressure but it is Also used to stop contractions and reduce the chances of preterm labor. If you really don't feel comfortable where you stand now... i highly.suggest you speak with  your doctor and ask why he hasn't felt the need to put you on medication for your contractions. Once you test positive you are positive... But that does not mean you will deliver early. Just keep that in mind and i hope everything goes well!
