needing some comforting advice

Almost 32 weeks, went to the dr for early contractions. Discovered that my cervix is really thin and baby is BAM right there very low. Idk what to do!? Dr put me on bed rest, with 2 older girls... idk if I need to start planning on a preemie or keep my fingers crossed (they are anyways) I'm about to drive myself crazy not knowing!! Help me relax a little please!!

I'm trying my damndest!! Lol I really am. Hubby the only one that works. Luckily this started on Friday. My oldest goe to school in the ams.D dis clear me to go get her from there. But during the week its just me. And my nerves are shot, I can't do this not knowing crap!! Dr put me on pills to stop the contractions, but they take soo long to kick in and they don't last long enough til the next one... :( I just don't even know

i know that it is not the same as you are going through.. But my friend is due two week after me.. at 32 week she was having contractions and already thinning and dilated to a 2.. the doctor still has not put her own bed rest she is even still working. She is still pregnant and doing fine she is almost 36 weeks now. so i know every one is different..but there is a chance you can still go to full or preterm...

Ok thats hard.biggest advice I can give as extremely difficult as it's going to be try to follow the bed rest as closely as you possibly can. My cervix was measuring at 8mms under stress. A normal cervix is 30mms. Once I went on bed rest it's now measuring at 25mms. My baby is still low & head down, but the bed rest is helping

Can your hubby help you out? Inlaws, family? Its important to follow drs orders.

He didn't say how short it was, all he said was baby was right there, from his first knuckle, and it was very thin.... I know worrying isn't helping the situation but what else do I have! My girls are 5 and 2 1/2. And absolutely crazy!!! Lol

Did they happen to tell you how short ur cervix is measuring? How old are ur girls? It is a gravity issue so try to kick ur feet up and relax. Just think if u can stay on bed rest for about a month you should be fine. I have been on bed rest since 20weeks bcuz of a shortened cervix. I also have a cervical cerclage & taking a hormone pregesterone. I wish you well.
