FYI please read I believe my intuition saved my little one

So yesterday morning I went to pt (army). And suddenly I just didn't feel right. I wasn't in severe pain like they say you are when labor is coming or anything like that. But it was not the usual aches and pains. And what I thought where Braxton hicks where happening pretty close together. So I got in my car and went to l&d. After some swabs blood work and a cervix check I was indeed in premature labor. Doctors put me on fluids and started steroid injections.then a nicu doctor came and informed me of what problems my little one could face if I did deliver. All in all I was able to successfully for now stop contractions and no further dialition and was released. My charge to you mom's to be is if something doesn't feel right don't wait around on it. I am hoping I brought my guy a few more weeks minimum before his debut. If I can hold off until April 9th he will be 35 weeks going on 36 and docs won't stop labor then. Trust your instincts ladies.

Yea I went through something similar I was 34+4 and thought I was just cramping or having braxton hicks so I had them regularly for a couple of days not wanting to waste my time this was baby num. 5 so I thought I knew what contractions were..... Any way so around the second day I started losing my plug so I decided to go in and be checked turns out my contractions were 2-3-4 min. Apart I had to get three shots to stop it!!! So after that my daughter got stubborn and decided she didn't want to come anymore lol so I had my baby girl Elayjiah Na'dene 4 weeks and 3 days later bring induced because my contractions wouldn't stay strong enough on its own!! She was 6lbs 8oz 19 inches long!! It's been a rough road with jaundice and a heart murmur...

My step mom had refused to take me, she thought I was exaggerating. My friend was over and I looked at her and said no I need to go. I was there for a couple of days because the contractions would not stop even with steroids and the shots. Woman should ALWAYS listen to their intuition. SO glad you did!!

Thank you I was terrified because I'm not ready yet. I'm on bed rest until I get reevaluated on Monday but when I was leaving to go to l&d everyone was like he is just sitting low your fine. If I would've ignored it and went home lord knows what would have happened. As a ftm I really didn't know what to expect but I just knew something wasn't right. And It bothers me a little that I almost listened to these people and went home since they already have children and I thought they knew what they are talking about.
