Fake nails??

How do you guys feel about getting fake nails during you're pregnancy? Is it dangerous for the baby? I'm 33 weeks

I had mine done in labor with three of my five. As long as you don't plan on a c section you should be fine, if a c section is planned then it would not make sense to get them done this late in pregnancy.

I follow the rule during pregnancy and breastfeeding.... if I am unsure I will not do it :) no matter if hundreds other people do it. I am too paranoid about health of my baby.

Nothing wrong, I do my own nails, I need to feel pretty,  but for sure I will not use them closed to my due date that can be dangerous at the time of labor. ..

I agree with above comments. My nails are growing immensely. So is my hair. But the nail issue, I prefer gel color bc it's cheaper, quicker, lasts longer and is simple yet chic.

Just make sure it's well ventilated and that you go somewhere that keeps everything clean and disinfected. You're more prone to infections while you're pregnant so if they cut you while clipping cuticles for example, you would be at higher risk to have problems if the tools aren't clean.

I don't have the fake nails just an overlay. That is when they put the acrylic on top of your real nails and I love it! My nails have grown so much. I guarantee once you try it, you will love it even more.

I always got mine done while pregnant and my nail tech was pregnant with my first. They wear a mask because of the dust and they het the fumes all day. The Dr I had with my first and the midwife with second both said it was safe. I have not with this pregnancy because I can not afford it due to bed rest.

I've have my nails done and go in for regular fills. As long as it's well ventilated in the salon you should be fine. I haven't had any issues with it.

Just get the gel, it looks so much better too

I believe it is dangerous because they don't even apply nail on customer when Chinese ladies is pregnant and plus they also use face mask.
