Fart dilemma

Oh ladies I can't seem to stop farting.  The constipation is not helping.  It also smells horrible. Any suggestions?

Not sure, but the gasy Part I understand.  Get some stool softners... but then again, I'm not sure if u can take that while preggo because I know they give it to you afterwards. Drink a lot of Water and 100% fruit juice.

Colace stool softeners are ok to take, my Dr has me on them. Also lots of green veggies, watermelon, and anything else with fiber help with the constipation. Not sure what to tell you about the smell though, I have that problem too.

Thanks ladies. I only drink water and apple juice. I am eating high fibre food like veggies.  Just don't understand why it's not working. I'm going for my OB on Friday., I will ask the dr for something to ease this. I'm only 17wks now, imagine being gassy the entire pregnancy.  Lol

Try fiber one cereal with some strawberry or banana cut up in it. I eat that almost every day and I don't go more than a day with out a healthy bm. It tastes okay, but how you'll be feeling after a few days of eating that will make you want to eat it everyday!

I eat fiber one cereal every day and haven't had a problem since. It was really bad around 16-20 weeks but all better now. Hopefully something works for you

Part of the issue comes from the fact that your digestive system is now going super slow to retain more nutrients. Plus as baby grows, they are crowding your intestines.

My doctor was ok with me taking a fiber supplement, miralax and a probiotic to help with constipation but not necessarily gas. Though the constipation could contribute to the gas. I also eat fiber one cereal with yogurt 3 days a week but I don't take a probiotic or fiber supplement on those days I eat fiber one and yogurt.

In the beginning I had the worst gas ever! Like deadly horrid unimaginable gas lol and constipation. But the constipation I've had for the majority of my pregnancy. I'm 37 weeks. I think fiber does help but only if you're drinking a TON of water to help it move along. Otherwise it will just sit in there and then one day you will have serious stomach pains an get diarrhea. I've had that happen to me after eating it a few times because I didn't drink enough fluids. I thjnk fiber from fruit works a lite better than fiber from grains. Colace never really worked for me. Miralax did help me some. I have resorted to a fleet enema a few times which works pretty quick. Magnesium actually helps me alot now. It's a mineral most people are deficient in and taking it before bed helps me to sleep, helps my restless leg syndrome and also helps me to go #2 in the morning.
