Tmi... ish

I've had this issue for a few years now, but it seems to be happening more frequently now that I am pregnant. Several times a week I get what starts as a sweaty groin and crack of my rear end. It then becomes itchy. When I scratch it, it's moist, but seems to be dry skin? (Gross I know but I'm going insane!) Eventually it starts to be sore... It definitely seems to happen right after I shower before bed and if I skip a shower it's 10x as bad the next time. I've tried antibiotic cream, cortisone cream, and baby powder. I also switched to using Johnsons baby wash thinking it was from body wash. I do find that sleeping "commando" helps dry it out, but it still itches.  I've had a vaginal yeast infection before and it's kind of like that, but not inside. Also, my pap/urine tests didn't show any signs of yeast infection. Any one have this or know what it is? HELP!  Definitely plan on asking my doctor next visit...

I had this problem until I switch to dial soap.. it helps with my ance and everything. My doctor had even sent me a specialist they tried to put me on antibiotics for 6 months. I was not going for that.. I was really amazed that a dollar bar of dial soap help so much.

I have the same problem sometimes. Take a bath and dry the area really well. Then use a good deodorant on the area. That always helped me. It seemed to be worse for me if it was in the summer and I was outside working in the heat.

Sounds like it may be a fungal infection. I had same problem once and used an antifungal cream found near foot medicines at walmart.

When my son was a baby he would get like that.  It was caused by yeast.  Dr. gave me a cream to put on it and it helped alot.

Try using betadine (if you're not allergic to iodine) on the area it should help dry it out. When people have surgery it helps to keep the area dry and sanitized.
