My first boy fed every 2 hours for the first year. Dr. Said not to worry. My 2nd boy feeds about every 2.5 to 3 hrs. And I can someti.es stretch it to 4 hrs.

It's actually common, at around 6 weeks babies go through a growth spurt. Some babies also have developed a larger appetite then others. Are you breastfeeding? Breastfed babies tend to want to feed more often but even formula fed babies can eat that often. Every baby is different!! Listen to your baby, if he's demanding a feeding every 2 or 3 hours, then feed ;) Sometimes they are not only crying due to hunger but also for a million other reasons, such as wet/dirty diaper, cold or hot, bored (yes babies can feel boredom), craving to be held, cuddled etc etc. Rule out any other possibilities and feed!! Congratulations!!!

Yes! Even breastfed babies can and often do eat that frequently. I pumped for my son and he got as much as he wanted at every feed and still ate about every 2 hrs. With breastmilk it's perfectly suited for your baby's needs and there isn't any "excess" like with formula. Formula takes longer to digest usually and therefore sits in tummy longer.

Yes... you just have a baby that loves to eat. My son would eat every 2-3 hours. Are you breastfeeding? If so it could be that he isnt getting enough milk when he eats so hes hungry more frequently.

Do speak to your dr about how many ounces baby is taking etc to be sure x
