Oh... my baby is in the 42nd percentile so they said she is measuring a little bit smaller but arent too concerned because I have gestational diabetes... im 32w2d and have my next few doctors appt planned out... I have an appt at 33 weeks, 34 weeks, and at 36 weeks I have to go twice a week until the baby isborn
My baby girl is in the 15th at one. But she said she's just a petite baby. She's was also strictly breast fed. And formula feed babies tend to be chunker. She didn't seem concerned at all.
My son was only in the 5th percentile starting at 24 wks. They put me on bed rest and told me to eat and eat some more :/. That was my last pregnancy, and he ended up getting to a healthy weight by birth. With you being 37 wks already I'm sure your dr wants to induce to be able to find out why your baby isn't growing and to fill him/her up with nutrients.
My doctor did a growth scan on my twins last wed and he advised that they were developing properly however they are in the lower percentile because of their weight. He requested that I put on some weight. I am 29 weeks
Yes, I'm still pregnant. I'm 37 weeks. Doctor wants to induce me next week.
Ok never mind you haven't had your baby... I have never heard of them putting a baby on a percentile chat before they are born. An ultrasound can only guesstimate how big your baby is. It's not 100% accurate. I wouldn't worry because there isn't anything you can do to make your baby grow bigger... As long as you are eating healthy that's all you can do
My 14 month old is in the 12 th percentile and has been since he was about three months old. He's just tiny. He is perfectly healthy and developmently on track. As long as your baby is healthy and developing as expected I wouldn't worry at all :)
Oh... and she is still small she weighs 28 lbs and is 32 inches tall... (momma is 5'2 and daddy is 6'4)
A baby who had already been born it are you still pregnant?!? Can't remember if you had your baby. If baby has been born it has to do with their weight and height ratios.... If you are breastfeeding breastfeed babies tend to be a little leaner... They can't all be in the 100th prevention's or even in the 50th percentile. If she tried to push formula and you aren't comfortable with it don't do it.
My daughter was in the 10th... when she was 8 or 9 months old they ran blood tests to see if she had any deficiencies or was growth restricted.... everything came back normal... doctor came to the conclusion that she's just small because mommy is small... although he thought daddy's height would play a factor in it, it didn't. .. shes a healthy 3.5 year old now...
