At my last appointment I was 16 weeks and we couldn't hear the heartbeat with the doppler either we had to do an ultrasound and the baby is fine he was just turned so thats why it was hard to find. Best wishes :)

If your doctor isn't concerned then you probably have a nice high level of the hormones. So I wouldn't worry about it. if they are in a weird spot its hard to hear. Next time you go should be better

I couldn't hear it at 13 weeks either. My dr said at that age the baby is still really small and sometimes hard to find. I wouldn't stress over it. If your dr isn't concerned than you shouldn't be either

I was about 12 weeks and my doctor didn't hear a heartbeat and she told me to schedule an ultrasound asap. And of course she was fine when I went to the ultrasound. Wait until u go to the ultrasound, they heav better technology than a telescope.

At my last appointment (I was 14 weeks 3 days) and we couldnt hear the heartbeat. My midwife brought in the ultrasound machine and it took 15 minutes to pin point the baby down....baby was moving so much and so fast we couldnt get the doppler on before the baby moved again!

Its normal accorning to my midwife to not hear it when they that small and active.....its easier when they get bigger because they wont have much room to move around to get away from the doppler!

Hang in there ladies and try not to worry!

Hi if the doctor used a dobbler to hear the heartbeat dont stress momma the same thing happened to me. Baby is still tiny and might of been hiding somewhere. Just wait till you get an actual ultrasound and im sure you will hear it best of luck:)

Hmm. You should hear it by now I think. The dr heard mine on ultrasound at 6 weeks, on Doppler by 10. Good luck! Hope all's well

If the doc isnt concerned I wouldn't be either! At one appointment my doc found it hard to find with the doppler but because the baby was moving so vigorously and so the heart beat kept moving from under the wand! But eventually he held still long enough to hear it properly! :-)

She couldn't find the heart beat at my we 13 or 14 week appt but my uterus is tilted back.  She put her fingers inside and tilted it a bit and found the heart beat right away.  Weird but true.   I'm 32 weeks!

Some doctors are different... I went in at 14 week's after my first ultrasound... And my doctor couldn't fund the heart beat using the Doppler. She ended up putting me in a different room for an ultrasound... We ended up seeing the baby all was good. She said the baby may have been laying face down or balled up making it hard to find the heartbeat. If you are.concerned call and ask to have an ultrasound to put you at ease. Good luck and don't stress it's not good for the baby.
