Induction cervidil

Has any mommies ever been induced with cervidil?  The wax chip that gets put on the cervix to soften it before pitocin? I'm getting that done on monday and just curious how everyone's experience was. . Quick, slow, worked, didn't work?

39+5 weeks will be induced on the 11th.

Don't be disappointed if it doesn't work! It didn't work for me last week, baby just wasn't ready

And you don't feel the cervadil itself when they put it in  its a fast and easy process

Cervadil worked wonders for me with my last 2 pregnancies they put it in and in no time I was ready and didn't even need pitocin everyone has a different experience but I wouldn't worry to much and congrats on your little one

I had 2 rounds of it and 2 rounds of pitocin (the first day and the second day). The second day my water was broken at 3pm and delivered my daughter by 901pm

That's a really good question. Do you know if it hurts when they apply the cervical?

Last year I had the cervidil on march 11 around 6-7pm then the next day I got pitocin around 11am and had my baby at 430 pm that day (March 12th)

I had it with my first 4 years ago. She inserted it at around 3pm and it softened right up so they started pitocine at about 7pm baby was born at 630am
