c-section or vbac?

Anyone had c-section and then had vbac for there next? Any advice would help me make my mind up.

I had vaginal delivery twice with my girls and I am now pregnant with twins and hope to deliver vaginally I never had a problem once they are out the recovery was a lot easier in my opinion.

I've had both, c section then vbac. Honestly, for me a vaginal delivery was so much better than having another c section. Yes I tore and had stitches but it was so much easier to heal afterwards! I'm pregnant again and hoping for another vaginal delivery.

Sorry for the novel, it's just something I feel passionate about. Nervous now though as I'm due today and my dr wants to schedule a csection in a weeks time if bubs doesn't make a move on :-/

I had a csection for my first, trying for vbac this time around but I'm due today so I can't really help you or give you any insight.
I knew before I fell pregnant I wanted to try for a vbac and worked very hard to get my body into optimum shape before I conceived with this goal in mind. As my due date drew nearer I started to have doubts about my decision. As far as I'm concerned they both have their pros and cons - the thing that pushed me to decide for vbac was  physical recovery afterwards, I didn't want to be recovering from surgery and looking after a toddler and a newborn, that and the mental side of it too. I felt like I failed after my csection so I wanted a chance to see if I could do it this time.
I think in the short term a csection is the better choice - you can schedule it, generally you'll have your baby earlier, if it's planned it's all nice and calm and it's familiar which helps  BUT it's followed by weeks of pain and recovery. Yes vaginal births sound terrifying but for most people once that baby is born the worst of the pain stops (or at least improves). It's 100% up to you, no one can make the decision for you and there is no right or wrong answer

Same here, I would love to hear from any mothers who have been there. My sister makes vaginal delivery sound like a nightmare and she has never had a csec lol. I am most afraid of tearing and stitches (cringe).
